Member of Mauritius Amateur Radio Society
After 4 years of amateur radio activities from Mauritius, I am very happy to be a full member of the national radioclub - the 'Mauritius Amateur Radio Society'.
BTW I can say - Mauritius are my second home. In the year 2000 I get my full mauritian call sign: 3B8MM. This deed was the climax of my "Paradise on Air Missions" from the Republic of Mauritius.
This year I've try to work more stations from westcoast NA via longpath, but not many was using the same way (??!!). Also special (and looooong) calls to VK/ZL/pacific area are often not successfull.
First time I was using RTTY from Mauritius and have made more than 500 QSOs. Most of them on 15 and 20m. After the 12 QSOs on 10m I've stoped the RTTY transmission on this band, because 10 callsigns I've worked before on an other band. The goal of my RTTY activity was, to give as many stations a alltime NEW DXCC country.
